Our terms and conditions comply with UK legislation and are designed to ensure that all of our customers can shop easily and with confidence with Headboard Direct. The use of this site indicates your acceptance of these terms and conditions.  These terms and conditions may change without prior notice and will not affect your statutory rights. You must be at least 18 years of age to purchase on-line.

Products & Pricing

The intention of Headboard Direct is that any information on the web site should be as accurate and up to date as possible. Headboard Direct hold a huge range of stock some for immediate delivery. Once the order is placed, the customer will be sent a confirmation if their order is successful. For any other queries the customer will be contacted. All prices are in £ sterling. The prices quoted on this website are only valid for internet sales.

Payment Methods

We accept most major credit cards these include Visa, Delta, Mastercard, Switch & Solo. We will require cardholder’s full details including name, address and telephone number as registered with the bank. Incorrect information will cause a delay in processing your order. Your order will only be processed once authorisation of your credit card has been properly received. BACS payment is accepted although we cannot despatch the goods until payment has been cleared which can take at least 10 working days. Ownership and title in the goods will only pass to the customer upon receipt of full payment.

Printing & Pricing Errors

We thrive in being very competitive with our prices, however we are entitled to make adjustments to the price due to an error or omission, or if the price published for the goods is wrong whether or not the order has been confirmed. We will inform you of the correct price and give you the opportunity to cancel your order. If your credit card has already been charged and we subsequently cancel your order, we will immediately issue a refund to your credit card account in the value of the incorrect price. (E&OE)

Accepting Orders & Security

Before we accept your order we may use information you have given to us, or we already hold about you, or which we receive from any enquiry we may make to confirm your identity. This assists us to protect you and us from fraudulent transactions. We reserve the right to decline your order. In which case you will be contacted to seek an alternative payment method.

Data Protection Act

We are committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998). We will collect information about you for two reasons: firstly, to process your order and second, to provide you with the best possible service. We will not pass your e-mail address to other trusted traders unless you agree. The type of information we will collect about you includes:

Payment details i.e. credit/debit card details are processed by the secure payment gateway selected during the checkout process, said information is not retained by Headboard Direct.

We will never collect sensitive information about you without your explicit consent. The information we hold will be accurate and up to date. You can check the information that we hold about you by e-mailing us. If you find inaccuracies we will delete or correct it promptly. The personal information, which we hold, will be held securely in accordance with our internal security policy. If we intend to transfer your information outside the EEA (European Economic Area) we will always obtain your consent first.

We may use technology to track the patterns of behaviour of visitors to our site. This can include using a “cookie” which would be stored on your browser. You can modify your browser to prevent this happening. The information collected in this way can be used to identify you unless you modify your browser settings.

Complaints

It is always our intention to provide a high level of customer service, but sometimes mistakes can occur. We will do our utmost to rectify the problem. We take complaints very seriously indeed. If you do wish to complain then please e-mail us: via our contact page we will acknowledge your complaint within 5 working days.

Exchange & Returns

If for some reason you are not completely satisfied with your order, or it is incorrect, we will be happy to exchange it or refund you within 14 days of receipt providing the items are undamaged. (NB postage costs are not refunded).  Please obtain a returns shipping number by email from us: via our contact page. All returned items are inspected before replacement or refund is made.  This does not affect your statutory rights. Items classified as “bespoke / custom” are one off custom orders and are produced from your submitted order instructions.
