We try our best to be very competitive with delivery charges but unfortunately the same cannot be said for the courier companies. So it is with regret that we can no longer offer a simple one price solution to deliveries within The Scottish Highlands and UK Islands.

Headboard Direct goods delivery.

Delivery prices quoted are for UK mainland delivery only excluding the Scottish Highlands. Please note we do not send goods outside the UK mainland or to BFPO addresses (Eire included). The majority of our deliveries are made within the advertised time as per product page but please allow up to 3 extra working days.

Delivery to an alternative address can be arranged providing you have:

  • 1. A registered account with us.
  • 2. Supply your credit/debit card holder's registered address to enable us to gain permission to ship to an alternative address from your card provider if required.

Express delivery (24hr/48hr) is available at an additional cost.

There are occasions where the demand on certain products outstrips supply, if this problem arises Headboard Direct will contact you to update you on the progress of your order. Orders will be delivered on our behalf by one of our couriers and made between 07:00 – 19:00 Monday – Friday. If a timed delivery is required (e.g. Saturday) we may be able to arrange this for you but at an extra cost. Our courier company are not insured to enter your houses/premises and will require a signature upon delivery.

Please note that we shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages, charges or expenses caused by any delay in delivering goods. In the unlikely event that your product appears lost or is damaged in transit please contact us immediately via e-mail: contact headboardirect. We insist you keep the original packing in case you have any reason to return your purchase (see shortages below). If a delivery attempt has failed other than the courier’s error a failed delivery charge will occur. This does not affect the consumer’s statutory rights


It is the customer’s responsibility to sign for all packages as shown on the couriers consignment note. Any missing packages must be noted on the same consignment note before the driver leaves. It will be the customer’s responsibility to notify; Headboard Direct of any shortages within 3 days of delivery.

Incorrect Goods

Any incorrect goods received must be notified to Headboard Direct within 3 days. This would enable us to rectify the problem immediately.


Headboard Direct will not accept liability of goods lost in transit unless notified within 5 working days from the expected delivery date. Our couriers will leave a "not able to deliver card" in the event that you are not at home to accept the delivery, please ensure you contact the delivery company to arrange a more suitable time. Failed deliveries will result in the items being returned to Headboard Direct and a re delivery charge will be applied to your order.

Damage in Transit

If goods arrive in a damaged condition you must make a note on the couriers delivery consignment note and it will be your responsibility to inform us within 3 days from delivery. If goods returned under this clause are found to be perfect these will be returned to you and an administration fee will be charged along with the cost of carriage to your credit card account. This does not affect your statutory rights as a customer.


If you wish to cancel your order prior to despatch, you must e-mail us first at  and wait for a cancellation e-mail.

Exchange & Returns

If for some reason you are not completely satisfied with your order, or it is incorrect, we will be happy to exchange it or refund you within 14 days of receipt providing the items are undamaged. (NB postage costs are not refunded).  Please obtain a returns shipping number by email from us: contact headboardirect All returned items are inspected before replacement or refund is made.  This does not affect your statutory rights. Items classified as "bespoke / custom" are one off custom orders and are produced from your submitted order instructions.
